When the Long Island Pulse looked into what was happening with solar energy on Long Island, whose opinion did they ask? None other than Built Well Solar founder/CEO Dan Sabia: “We have customers with young children and after 18 years, they have enough savings to send their kids to college. And it’s all paid for by the sun,” Sabia said, pointing out the savings can accumulate to drastic numbers. “When the sun shines on your roof, it’s free.” Read the full story, "Island in the Sun," in the current issue (OCT. 2016) on newsstands now: http://lipulse.com/2016/09/27/solar-energy-long-islands-next-crop/.

Built Well Solar Ranked AGAIN Among Top in Nation....and founder Dan Sabia featured in the "Top 400" issue!
In August 2014, Built Well Solar was ranked one of the “2013 Top 400 Solar Contractors” in the U.S. by Solar Power World magazine. Additionally, in the same "Solar 400" issue, company founder & CEO Dan Sabia was featured as "Long Island's True Solar Pioneer". See article here.
Built Well Solar president Dan Sabia was quoted in the March/April 2013 issue of Solar Builder. In an article about wiring for large-scale solar farms for using underground cable in conduit (CIC), Dan said that CIC was particularly helpful for commercial and school applications.
“We find that, on some large jobs the cable in conduit can be used to run lines from the panels on the roof to the inverter, which can be hundreds of feet away. Plus, because the wire is fully encased in the conduit, it will be protected from the elements for a very long time.”
In the magazine NYER (New York Enterprise Report), entrepreneurs were asked about steps they are taking to grow their businesses over the next few years.
“Our business model is to do things right rather than large,” Dan Sabia said in the article, adding that he focuses on “two core services — the design and installation of solar electricity and solar hot water systems.”
Long Island PATCH & SEIA News
Built Well Solar’s own Nancy Hiler wrote an article, “LIPA's Solar Energy Program Shines in New Ways” which ran in Patch.com online newspapers across Long Island in March.
The article talked about LIPA’s recent rollout of its performance-based solar energy incentive program, Expected Performance-Based Buydown (EPBB), as well as LIPA’s recent approval of solar leasing on Long Island. The article was also picked up by and ran in the national Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) newsletter.
